A New Gathering in Cornwall

Gool Peran Lowen! Happy St Piran’s Day!

To celebrate Tommie is launching a new gathering of folk musicians, Crean Folk Camp, taking place this summer in Cornwall. The TEYR fraternity will be in attendance along with the renowned Cornish clarinetist Hilary Coleman and the fabulous baroque folk fiddler Flora Curzon.

Starting summer 2018, Crean Folk Camp is a week-long course for instrumentalists exploring musicality in folk music and beyond, focusing on melody, improvisation, ensemble-playing and composition.

Based in the beautiful far reaches of Cornwall near Land’s End, we invite you to come be part of a new community, living, playing, cooking and learning together. Open to instrumentalists of all backgrounds, we will delve into folk music, Cornish traditions and ourselves.

This year’s tutors are:
Tommie Black-Roff - Accordion
Hilary Coleman - Clarinet
Flora Curzon - Fiddle
James Patrick Gavin - Fiddle & Guitar
Dominic Henderson - Uilleann Pipes & Whistles

The cost of tuition is £150 which includes camping for the week. Accommodation is available on request. To book a place contact Tommie on: mail@creanfolkcamp.org or for more info go to: creanfolkcamp.org
